MULLED WINE and WINTER PUNCH RECIPES

To make your Mulled Wine (Glühwein)
–Adults only–
You will need:
• 3 sachets of Glühwein spice
• A 750ml bottle of wine – red wine is traditional but you can also use apple cider!
1. Add your chosen beverage to a suitable saucepan and heat slowly until steaming, NOT boiling or the alcohol will be lost!
2. Add the Glühwein spice sachets (securing the tag around the pan’s handle) and allow to infuse for 10 minutes while on low heat.
3. Once infused, remove the spice sachets. Now serve warm and enjoy!
To customise your Mulled Wine:
• Add a touch of sugar before serving to sweeten to your liking!
• Add a freshly sliced & peeled orange or apple with the Glühwein sachets for extra flavour!
•Add a shot of Spiced Rum to the batch before serving for an extra kick!
• Use 250ml of liquid per Glühwein sachet if making larger or smaller quantities!
To make your “Winter Punch”
-Alcohol free-
You will need:
• 3 sachets of Glühwein spice
• 750ml of juice – a combination is best. We recommend: apple, grape and/or cranberry juice (there are other suitable flavours, but we don’t recommend orange or grapefruit!)
1. Heat your juice in a saucepan until steaming (not boiling).
2. Add the Glühwein spice sachets (securing the tag around the pan’s handle) and infuse for 10 minutes on low heat.
3. Once infused, remove the sachets.
Now serve warm and enjoy!
To customise your Winter Punch:
• Use a combination of fruit tea (Wild Berry, Cranberry, Forest Fruit, etc.) and juice as the base of your Winter Punch using 250ml of liquid per Glühwein sachet. With your new base, just follow the recipe above!
• Add a freshly sliced & peeled orange or apple with the Glühwein sachets for extra flavour!
• Substitute some of juice for water if preferred!
Ingredients: Orange peel (43%), cinnamon (23%), sweet cabbage, orange oil (dried) (8%), star anise (8%), cloves (7%), lime peel, cardamom.
